The three-day 33rd Guangzhou Fair (GZF) opened on August 22 in Guangzhou, Southern China. New quality productive forces debuted in a themed exhibition zone, showcasing the city's cutting-edge technologies in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, new energy vehicles, the low-altitude economy, and aerospace.
This year's fair expanded its scale by 50% compared to the previous session, reaching 18 venues and covering 180,000 square meters. It featured four thematic exhibition zones: New Quality Productive Forces; the "High-quality Development Project for Guangdong Counties, Towns, and Villages" Initiative and Rural Revitalization; Silver Economy and Healthcare; and Quality Living. A total of 3,200 exhibitors showcased specialized exhibits in areas such as innovation and invention, urban renewal, the automotive aftermarket, consumption assistance, packaging, elderly care, medical services, gifts and homeware, cultural IP, and arts and crafts.
The themed exhibition zone on new quality productive forces focuses on emerging industries such as AI, robotics, smart Internet of Things, and new energy vehicles, as well as the low-altitude economy and aerospace. The zone brings together cutting-edge technologies and innovative products in intelligent manufacturing.
A standout feature, the debut Robot Performance Area, featured over 150 robots in a dynamic showcase. The Guangzhou Consumption Assistance Exhibition and the Arts and Crafts and Geographical Indication Exhibition will also debut.
In addition, the fair was linked with the International Invention Exhibition for the first time, attracting more than 300 guests from over 30 countries/regions and international organizations to participate and exhibiting more than 2,000 inventions.
